THE YARDCOLLECTIVE

The Atelier

A small house, made slowly.

We make for rooms that care how they age — not how they look on the day they open.

The Yard Collective began in a workshop in Dubai with a quiet observation: the rooms that hold up best are the rooms that hold up. Not the ones styled for a launch, not the ones lit for a magazine — the ones that stay handsome for the seventh year and the tenth.

The hardest piece in those rooms is almost always a tree. Living botanicals are beautiful and demanding — they answer to the air, the light, the discipline of the client. When the discipline lapses, the room goes. Most people never connect the two.

We make artificial botanicals — olive, bonsai, cactus, ficus — that hold the room without asking for anything back. Real silk, hand-cured trunks, sand-cast bases. The honesty is in the spec, not the sales line: we tell you what's hand-finished, what's moulded, what the warranty is, and what the piece will look like in year ten under the same window.

Every piece is photographed in the room it was built for, in our atelier — same lime-wash wall, same west-light, same polished concrete floor. So when it arrives, it arrives the way you saw it.

How we work

Three principles, in order.

01

Built for the seventh year.

Every piece is engineered to look the way you bought it in year seven, year ten. Materials are selected for permanence under interior light, not for the photograph.

02

Honest about what's made and how.

We tell you what's hand-finished, what's moulded, what the trunk core is, and what the warranty covers. No mystery in the spec.

03

Photographed in the room it's for.

Each piece is shot in the atelier — same wall, same light — so the image you see is the piece that arrives. No styling tricks, no flattering crops.

In the catalogue

What we list, plainly.

Real silk for olive, ficus and bonsai foliage — moulded leaf-by-leaf onto a steel-wire armature. UV-stable to a decade under indirect light.

Hand-cured trunks on every Statement piece. The bonsai cascades take a week each; the olive trunks take three days.

Polymer + cement bases for cacti, weighted to sit without anchoring. Polymer cores in foliage joints rather than wire you can feel through the leaf.

The catalogue tells you which is which, on every piece, without you asking.

Walk the catalogue. The pieces are honest about themselves.
